Our employees care about the community

From career days to blood drives to fundraisers for United Way and the Food Bank, Trico employees are living up to the Cooperative Principle of Concern for Community.

On April 28, linemen Nate Stalcup and Andrew Keepers went to Altar Valley Middle School’s Career Day.

Trico was once again recognized as a Top 25 contributor to the United Way on May 25 at the Circle of Excellence Luncheon. Employee contributions for 2017 exceeded $16,000. Trico contributed an additional $5,000. United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona is a charity that Trico is proud to support.

Summer is a difficult time for many in our community. Therefore, Trico had a fundraiser for the Food Bank, collecting $400 and almost 200 pounds of food.

Summer is also a challenging time for the Red Cross. On June 23, Trico hosted a blood drive and collected 20 units of blood.

“That’s potentially 60 lives saved!” said Blaine deVesty of the Red Cross. “We were very pleased with the drive overall and the willingness of the donors to share this life-saving gift. Trico’s support of the community blood program will go a long way toward replenishing blood supplies and ultimately saving lives.”

Trico donated $5,000 to Junior Achievement to expand the program at Desert Winds Elementary and Picture Rocks Intermediate.
