Bighorn Fire Update: Power restored to most of Mt. Lemmon
Power has been restored to most of Mt. Lemmon. This includes, Summerhaven, Radio Ridge, Soldiers Camp, Mt. Bigelow, Organization Ridge, Palisades, Girl Scout Camp and Willow Canyon. The east slope of Mt. Lemmon remains deenergized.
Trico is currently using its back-up generator to provide power and is working with fire officials to assess the extent of any damage to the line serving Mt. Lemmon. It may be necessary to deenergize certain lines as firefighters continue their work.
Thank you to the firefighters who continue to do a great job of protecting Mt. Lemmon.
We have received several questions from Members living in the SaddleBrooke area (including SaddleBrooke, SaddleBrooke Ranch, and Eaglecrest) regarding the potential impact of the Bighorn fire on their service from Trico. Currently, the fire is not impacting Trico’s service to these areas. As a safety precaution Trico has deenergized its line that runs to Mt. Lemmon. However, the SaddleBrooke area is not served by that line. The lines that serve the SaddleBrooke area come from the north and have not been impacted by the fire. Trico does not expect the SaddleBrooke area to be impacted based on the current projections from fire officials.
We will continue to provide updates on our website and on social media. Questions for Trico should be directed to Trico dispatch at 520-744-2944.
