Time of Use

 

As of March 2017, the Residential Time of Use (TOU) Service is frozen. Existing TOU Members have two separate rates for electric energy usage: $.07425 per kWh for off-peak hours; $.19425 per kWh for on-peak hours.

Definition of On-Peak

April 1 through October 31: For this rate schedule, on-peak hours are 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. All other hours, including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays*, are considered to be Off-Peak.

Time of Use Summer

November 1 through March 31: For this rate schedule, on-peak hours are 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday. All other hours, including Saturday, Sunday and Holidays*, are considered to be Off-Peak.

Time of Use Winter

*Holidays are defined as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If a Holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday is designated Off-Peak; if a Holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday is designated Off-Peak.
