Thank you for coming to Annual Meeting
Thank you to the 425 people who attended our Annual Meeting April 8 at Casino del Sol.
At the meeting, Members learned about the different programs we offer, bought trees at a discounted rate, enjoyed some light refreshments and had a chance to win many great prizes.
Judy Goodman of the Trico Charitable Trust expressed gratitude to Trico staff for a wonderful event.
“It is truly a labor of love to put on such a fine meeting,” she said. “Caring for customers is of utmost importance in an ever-changing environment of concern for something we all too often take for granted … the need for electricity at an affordable rate. I am already looking forward to the next annual meeting.”
Board Directors Nick Buckelew and Larry Hinchliffe were re-elected for another three years. Members were shown a video that featured long-time Trico Members and highlighted Trico’s diverse service area, from Arivaca and Sasabe to Mt. Lemmon.
Vin Nitido talked about Trico’s role in the community and what makes us different from an investor-owned utility. He also discussed the Trico Rate Case and the future of Trico and the electric industry.
We received many great questions from Members in attendance. Over the next few months, we will address the answers to those questions in the Livewire.
Several raffle prizes were given out, including bill credits, an iPad, NEST thermostat, Amazon Echo Dot, day passes to the Desert Museum, one-night stay at Casino del Sol, a $250 credit towards an energy efficient appliance and a 2008 Chevy Colorado truck. Rigoberto Martinez was the lucky winner of the truck.
“I come every year and I never win,” said Mr. Martinez, who has been a Trico Member for 19 years. “I can’t believe it. This is the biggest thing I’ve won in my life.”
