25 years of giving back to the community
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Operation Round Up (ORU) at Trico. The program gives Members the option of having their bills rounded up to the nearest dollar every month with the funds going to the Trico Electric Charitable Trust, a non‑profit organization that helps Trico Members, schools and organizations that serve Trico Members. Through your generosity, the Trust has donated over $900,000 since 1996.
In 2020, more than 5,000 Members contributed $34,000 to ORU. Your contributions fund a variety of worthy causes throughout our service area. Past donations include food banks, fire departments, schools, youth groups, veteran’s groups and more.

Palmetto Electric Cooperative in South Carolina was the first co-op to introduce Operation Round Up to its Members. Since then, the program has grown into a nationwide program with more than 250 co-ops. All that spare change has added up to several hundred million dollars in assistance to charitable causes around the country.
